| Abstract | Na árdua escalada para patamares mais elevados do conhecimento, o Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas Espaciais (INPE), nos últimos anos consolidou sua maturidade técnico-científica em diversos setores. Caminhou com passos largos na direção de colocar o País entre as nações desenvolvidas no campo espacial. Venceu o desafio no desenvolvimento operacional de satélites, representando importante fator de amadurecimento de sua equipe técnicocientífica. Isto representa igual oportunidade para o desenvolvimento do parque industrial brasileiro na área de fabricação de componentes no País. Instituições do conhecimento como o INPE, possuem poucos ativos tangíveis, que são muito menos valiosos que seus ativos intangíveis. Compreende-se que nessa organização, o patrimônio físico é infinitamente menor do que o capital intelectual. Este trabalho enfoca a memória científica e sua preservação pela instituição como incremento à quantidade e qualidade de conteúdo nacional em Ciência e a Tecnologia (C&T). Assim, tratar-se-á aqui dos aspectos da memória científica do Instituto. A C&T são bases fundamentais para o desenvolvimento da sociedade. Como o INPE tem um volume significativo de trabalhos publicados, em função do processo histórico da Ciência Espacial no País, o trabalho objetiva destacar a importância da reunião dessa produção em um repositório, não apenas para preservar a memória cientifica, mas, sobretudo, para disseminar esse conhecimento entre outras comunidades, o que significa uma continuidade de acesso para gerações futuras. ABSTRACT: On the hard escalation for higher levels of knowledge, the National Institute for Space Research (INPE) has consolidated in the last years its technical-scientific maturity in several sectors. It walked with large steps to position the country among the most developed nations in the space field. The operational development of satellites has revealed as an overcome challenge and represented a positive factor towards the maturity of the professionals involved in such program. That also represented an equal opportunity for the development of Brazilian industries responsible for components´ manufacture. Institutions compromised with the knowledge, such as INPE, have very few active tangible personnel that are much less valuable than its intangible personnel. We comprehend that in this organization, the physical patrimony is infinitely lower than the intellectual capital. This work focuses on the scientific memory and its preservation by the institution as an increase to the quantity and quality of the contents produced in Science and Technology (S&T) in Brazil. Thus, we will discuss here the aspects of the scientific memory of INPE. The S&T are fundamental bases for the development of society. As INPE has a significant volume of published papers due to its historical process in S&T, the work aims at emphasizing the importance of this production as a repository, not only as a way to preserve the scientific memory, but overall, to disseminate this knowledge among the communities, promoting the knowledge perpetuation to future generations. |
